The national project “Mamma Lingua. Stories for everyone without exception”, promoted by the Italian Library Association (AIB), is aimed at children 0-6 years old in the most numerous foreign communities in our country, considering that the recognition of different languages of origin and different situations of bilingualism constitute the most effective way to promote the learning of Italian and improve the integration of foreign families.
The project aims to promote awareness of the importance of shared family reading in the mother tongue, of storytelling and linguistic diversity, through the dissemination of books for preschool children.
